Dr. Laura A. Dyke worked in a natural health store for a year in Danville, Virginia while beginning her studies as a CNHP. She then began to pursue other opportunities within the natural health field while continuing her CNHP studies, and beginning her pursuit of a Doctorate of Naturopathy. Her work has included individual consulting, wellness education, alternative therapies and product research since 2003. Dr. Dyke is also a contributing health writer for LIVESTRONG.com. Laura A. Dyke received the designation of ND (Doctor of Naturopathy) from Trinity School of Natural Health. Trinity School is accredited and recognized by the American Naturopathic Medical Accreditation Board. Trinity is a member of the Christian Health Fellowship. (www.trinityschool.org) The Board of Directors of The National Association of Certified Natural Health Professionals, recognizing that all requirements have been fulfilled, granted Laura A. Dyke the designation of Certified Natural Health Professional. (www.cnhp.org) Laura A. Dyke has been bestowed the certification of Pilates Instructor by FiTOUR. (www.fitour.com) Dr. Dyke is the wife of Capt. Christopher A. Dyke of the US Air Force Reserve and Hurricane Hunter unit, and mother of twins. Her boys were born at 26 weeks, each undergoing three surgeries before their first birthday. She has cared for her own children holistically from birth. Her first son, Andrew, suffered from severe developmental delays due to a grade IV brain bleed from stroke shortly after birth. His journey, progress, and accomplishments have fueled her desire to work with special needs children so that they may all enjoy the highest quality of life possible. |
